Unfortunately I do not own my home, but rent.<br /><br />I was curious though, had you considered renting your solar panels rather then purchasing them?<br /><br />You'd then be able to take advantage of the savings as well as the convenience of having them when the power is out, but not be tied into owning it when it becomes outdated.<br /><br />Anyway, I hope you keep posting your research results. Or the ratio might be positive if spread out of 50 yrs but lets see what the data says...
